| Liver Transplant Update |

The program introduces an update in
state-of-the-art liver transplantation from
UCSF, a national leader among abdominal
transplant programs. Topics discussed include
the prognoses of various liver transplant
recipients given the availability "ideal
livers" and less than ideal livers. The
program explains the significance of the MELD
score and how if affects patients' time on
the wait list. This program includes
important guidelines for physicians to help
their patients navigate the baffling maze of

The U.S. Transplant Games is a four-day
athletic competition among recipients of
organ transplants. Competition in the U.S.
Transplant Games is open to anyone who has
received a lifesaving solid organ
transplant--heart, liver, kidney, lung, and
pancreas. Bone marrow recipients are also
eligible to participate. As much as the Games
is an athletic event that calls attention to
the success of organ and tissue
transplantation, it is also a celebration of
life among recipients, their families and

| Live Webcast: Orthotopic Heart Transplant Procedure |

On September 19th, 2007 at 7:00 pm EDT, The
Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery at the
Montefiore-Einstein Heart Center in New York
will present an OR-Live.com webcast of a
panel discussion on an orthotopic heart
transplant. This transplant procedure was
performed on April 17, 2007 by Dr. David
D'Alessandro, Cardiothoracic Surgeon at the
Center. The panel discussion will be
moderated by Dr. Daniel Goldstein, Surgical
Director of Cardiac Transplantation,
Montefiore-Einstein Heart Center. They will
be joined by a live audience of
surgeon-colleagues and cardiologists. The
webcast will feature video portions of the
procedure as well as detailed descriptions of
