In our first election satire since 2004's
"This Land" and "Good to be in DC", we bid
farewell to Bush and give Obama and Mccain a
proper JibJab hazing! And, of course, who
could forget about Hillary and Bill? This
rip-roaring musical romp gives the election
process the proper spanking it deserves! Tags :JibJabTimeforSomeCampaigninObamaMcCainClintonOriginalsFunnyVideoComedyHumorSatireElection2008
Maximo Park have taken the world by storm and
proven themselves as one of the last truly
original acts to make it through the closing
door of the new wave of young British rock
acts. Their debut full-length A Certain
Trigger launched a wave of frenzy in the UK
that began with and endless string of
sold-out shows and emphatic praise from rock
bible NME and has recently ascended even
further with record sales landing the band a
Gold Record for the album, appearances on the
legendary Top Of The Pops television program
and a headlining spot on this year's NME
Awards Tour alongside upstarts Artic
Monkeys. This puts Maximo Park in good
company with past NME Tour headliners Franz
Ferdinand,
The Killers and Kaiser Chiefs. In addition to
their superstar status in the UK, Maximo Park
have made a great impression on US shores
having seen praise from MTV and Rolling Stone
as well as Andy Warhol's Interview and a tour
with modern-rock darlings The Bravery. Tags :KaiserchiefsMaximoParkApplySomePressurefranzmercuryprizebraverykillersfutureheadsrockpunkbritishmusic
Primal Scream - Some Velvet Morning. Una
magnifica obra visual, con la participacion
Kate Moss.
Esta cancion "Some Velvet Morning", canción
que popularizaron hace casi 40 años un dúo
por aquel entonces muy en boga: Nancy Sinatra
y Lee Hazlewood.
La letra de la canción:
Lee:
Some velvet morning when I'm straight
I'm gonna open up your gate
And maybe tell you 'bout Phaedra
and how she gave me life
and how she made it in
Some velvet morning when I'm straight
Nancy:
Flowers growing on the hill
Dragonflies and daffodils
Learn from us very much
Look at us but do not touch
Phaedra is my name
Lee:
Some velvet morning when I'm straight
I'm gonna open up your gate
And maybe tell you 'bout Phaedra
and how she gave me life
and how she made it in
Some velvet morning when I'm straight
Nancy:
Flowers are the things we knew
Secrets are the things we grew
Learn from us very much
Look at us but do not touch
Phaedra is my name
Lee:
Some velvet morning when I'm straight
Nancy:
Flowers growing on the hill
Lee:
I'm gonna open up your gate
Nancy:
Dragonflies and daffodils
Lee:
And maybe tell you 'bout Phaedra
Nancy:
Learn from us very much
Lee:
And how she gave me life
Nancy:
Look at us but do not touch
Lee:
and how she made it in.

These are really two songs in 1 but they
evolved in the same FL Studio project (2
different days). That's how it goes
sometimes - might have to make it into two
different beats since they're so different.
They keyboard I'm using here is the Yamaha
Motif XS8, which is the weighted-key version
of the XS series (I'm finding I'm not a fan
of weighted keys for most stuff besides
piano). More on that in another video where
I'll play some stuff I'm sequencing purely on
the board (very different and confusing to
me).
Thanks for watching/commenting/subscribing,
folks! Tags :ronaldjenkeesyamahamotifXSXS8funkhiphopunsignedflstudiobeatimprovkeyboardjamdanceravewhooyeah
