life in Gaza is a constant gauntlet of
Israeli sniper fire, military rockets and
army bulldozers. No one is safe. In light of
the escalating tensions, we're bringing back
one our most moving documentaries, a
hard-hitting expose of life in the Occupied
territories. We speak to the children caught
in the crossfire and find out the true cost
of Israel's targeted assassinations policy. Tags : Palestine IDF Intifada Pilots Cobra Unit bombing targets Children civilian |

| Dying for Palestine - Israel/Palestine |

June 2003
Tom Hurndall was shot through the head by the
Israeli army. We follow his grieving family
who came to Gaza to see what their son was
doing. Five-year-old Salamah was one of three
children Tom was attempting to rescue when he
was shot. He had frozen in fear when soldiers
began firing at him. Another young peace
campaigner, Brian Avery, is lucky to be alive
after a burst of machine gun fire ripped off
half his face. He now lies in hospital with
horrific scars barely able to talk. The
Israelis are cracking down on foreigners
entering the Gaza Strip. Tags : Tom Hurndall Israeli army Gaza peace campaigner Brian Avery ISM Journeyman Pictures |

| Gaza Tunnels - Israel/Palestine |
 |
Mar 2008
Most of Hamas' weapons are smuggled in
through tunnels between Gaza and Egypt. These
tunnels are usually dug by children, who know
they could be killed at any moment.
Every night, 14 year old Said scrambles down
a narrow shaft leading to a tunnel. He'll
spend the next eight hours digging without a
break. It's claustrophobic, difficult work.
The heat in the tunnel is unbearable and the
more they advance, the harder it becomes to
breathe. At any moment, the tunnel could come
crashing down, burying them alive. That's not
the only danger. "Sometime the Egyptians
shoot gas into the tunnel that might kill
us", states Ramdan. "There are risks of
electric shocks and the Israelis might bomb
the entrance". Since Hamas seized control of
Gaza, the borders have been closed. The
tunnels are the only way to import goods into
the territory. "They're a gold mine!" states
Said. But to his disgust, most of the profits
go to other people. "We do all the work, then
they swindle us", he complains. Once the
tunnel is nearly ready, "other people will
open it, do the trafficking and make more
money than us". The money he does make will
enable Said to support his entire family. But
everytime he goes into the tunnel, he knows:
"You are digging your own grave". Tags : Hamas Gaza Tunnels Weapons Rockets Palestine Journeyman Pictures |
