| Free software on Linux |
 |
Why spend money on software when you can get
all this for free!
Why download software illegally when there is
plenty of open source software just waiting
for you to discover it!
This is a demonstration of the software i use
on a daily basis without having to pay for
it. To counteract the opinion that Linux is
difficult to use, i show how easy it is: i
have everything i need.
I use Debian Linux with the Gnome interface
and Beryl for cute visual effects and the
cube of virtual desktops.

Software for Linux is reliable, easy to use,
enjoyable, legal, and free. Enjoy it! If you
do need to run any Windows software, you can
always run it using Wine, or use VMware to
run Windows inside a virtual machine. You can
also dual-boot your computer so you have a
choice when you start up, whether you want to
load Windows or Linux.
NB. I am not sure whether all the software in
this demonstration is open source, but it is
definitely all available at no cost. I am
willing to help anyone who wants to get
started using Linux.
