| Emilie Simon - Flowers |
 |
"Flowers
I want to buy you flowers
it's such a shame you're a boy
but when you are not a girl
nobody buys you flowers
I want to buy you flowers
and now I'm standing in the shop
I must confess I wonder
if you will like my flowers
You are so sweet and I'm so alone
oh darling please
tell me you're the one
I'll buy you flowers
I'll buy you flowers
like no other girl did before
You were so sweet and I was in love
oh darling don't tell me
you found another girl
forget the flowers
because the flowers
never last for ever
never last for ever
never last for ever
my love" Tags : Emilie Simon Animation Music |

| Thom Yorke solo acoustic - Last Flowers Till the Hospital |
 |
"Last Flowers Till the Hospital" performed by
Thom Yorke at the Wake Up to Trade Justice
vigil, Central Methodist Hall, London, April
16, 2005. I synched this amateur/fan-shot
video with a better audio source.
Rare footage of a Radiohead song which has
almost never seen the light of day. The
title apparently comes from a sign on the way
to Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford. This song
was part of the OK Computer recording
sessions, but was left unfinished. A studio
recorded version of this song is found on the
Bonus Disk for the 2007 album In Rainbows.
Lyrics:
Appliances have gone berserk
I cannot keep up
Treading on people's toes
Snot-nosed little fools
And I can't face the evening straight
And you can offer me escape
Houses live and houses speak
If you take me there you'll get relief
Believe, relief, believe
And if I'm gonna talk
I just want to talk
Please don't interrupt
Just sit back and listen
Cause I can't face the evening straight
And you can offer me escape
Houses live and houses speak
If you take me there you'll get relief
Believe, relief, believe
Relief, believe
It's too much, too bright, too powerful
Too much, too bright, too powerful
Too much, too bright, too powerful
Too much
From an old version of radiohead.com: last
flowers till the hospital*is a sign
discovered in oxford -my unhealthy obsession
with these institutions. analysts may get the
connection. ambulances scream past my house
at all hours of the day and night like the
confessionals of Larkin's "Ambulances."
Thom in 1999: i absolutley love this song.
the name will get changed probably to Cogs.
(Sarky cogs skwrkinground). jonny and i have
rewritten the 2nd verse and we are yet to
start recording it. but its not lost. Tags : Radiohead Thom Yorke solo acoustic guitar live Last Flowers |

| Harry Chapin sings FLOWERS ARE RED Live |
 |
(Spoken)Your son marches to the beat of a
different drummer, comma.
(Spoken)But don't worry,
(Spoken)We'll have him joining the parade by
the end of the term
The little boy went first day of school
He got some crayons and started to draw
He put colors all over the paper
For colors was what he saw
And the teacher said.. What you doin' young
man
I'm paintin' flowers he said
She said... It's not the time for art young
man
And anyway flowers are green and red
There's a time for everything young man
And a way it should be done
You've got to show concern for everyone else
For you're not the only one
And she said...
Flowers are red young man
Green leaves are green
There's no need to see flowers any other way
Than they way they always have been seen
But the little boy said...
There are so many colors in the rainbow
So many colors in the morning sun
So many colors in the flower and I see every
one
Well the teacher said.. You're sassy
There's ways that things should be
And you'll paint flowers the way they are
So repeat after me.....
And she said...
Flowers are red young man
Green leaves are green
There's no need to see flowers any other way
Than they way they always have been seen
But the little boy said...
There are so many colors in the rainbow
So many colors in the morning sun
So many colors in the flower and I see every
one
The teacher put him in a corner
She said.. It's for your own good..
And you won't come out 'til you get it right
And are responding like you should
Well finally he got lonely
Frightened thoughts filled his head
And he went up to the teacher
And this is what he said.. and he said
Flowers are red, green leaves are green
There's no need to see flowers any other way
Than the way they always have been seen
Time went by like it always does
And they moved to another town
And the little boy went to another school
And this is what he found
The teacher there was smilin'
She said...Painting should be fun
And there are so many colors in a flower
So let's use every one
But that little boy painted flowers
In neat rows of green and red
And when the teacher asked him why
This is what he said.. and he said
Flowers are red, green leaves are green
There's no need to see flowers any other way
Than the way they always have been seen.
But there still must be a way to have our
children say . . .
There are so many colors in the rainbow
So many colors in the morning sun
So many colors in the flower and I see every
