| Blade-Tech PH Magnum folder: Top Shelf Tactical Hunter |
 |
While 5.0 oz in weight, the Pro Hunter Magnum
by Blade-Tech is a well-made and strong
knife. For that weight though you will get a
top-of-the-line offering, available in three
different handle colors. This OD color is a
favorite and helps dress out this tactical
and hunting blade. The Pro Hunter also has
an almost ideal shaped S30V blade (also
incredibly thick at 5/32") that should handle
EDC, skinning, and even defensive cutting
tasks with aplomb. Other positive features
of the PH include an attractive ScotchBrite
finish, full flat grind, purposefully
checkered G10 handles, a fast deployment on
phosphor bushings, a wiggle-free lockup, a
reversible pocket clip, and outstanding
jimping throughout. Downsides would include
the weight (of course... needs to have
skeletonized liners), an overly large and
bright stainless pocket clip, and a handle
that somewhat blocks the deployment hole
making a firm thumb "dig" necessary to flip
the blade. But in most respects the PH is a
good looking, strong tactical or hunting
folder. At this price point we do expect a
top notch knife and indeed the PH Magnum does
deliver on most accounts.
*** Big thanks goes to Blade-Tech who
graciously provided me these blades to

| Blade-Tech Ganyana Lite knife: High utility, Low cost |
 |
A few blades out there really get the perfect
EDC blade shape and size down. Such examples
would be the SOG Flash 1, the Benchmade 2550
Mini Reflex auto, Cold Steel Medium Voyager,
and the Kershaw NRG 1. Add one more to that
short list now: the Blade-Tech Ganyana Lite.
It's 2 3/4" blade is ideal for just about any
EDC tasks you'd send its way. Made of AUS8
steel and having a full flat grind, it's A
LOT of quality at its very reasonable $25-ish
price point. Deployment is also swift and
sure and the lockup is solid on this 2.5 oz
liner lock. Add to that a variety of handle
colors (blaze orange, black, OD), a strong
properly mounted clip, and outstanding
jimping and the little Ganyana is a perfect
EDC blade. Improvements might include
skeletonizing the steel liners better
textured Zytel handle, and a blackened
clip... but that's about all. For this very
low price I'm adding this one to my list of
highly recommended, small EDC blades.
*** Thanks to Blade-Tech for providing these
blades for review. These BT review videos
would not have been made without their
support. Tags : pocketknife blade tactical folder best EDC aus8 tim wegner ganyana benchmade mini reflex spyderco kershaw leek scallion |

| ASSASSIN'S CREED-- Hidden Blade Tech. |
 |
Just testing out the letterbox and how much
quality Youtube keeps when compressed with
altered settings, and Arialak is just so good
with the hidden blade I couldn't help but add
this.

| The BLADE-TECH Training Barrel - Glock 19 or 23 |
 |
Be sure to turn on the annotations.
Here I'm trying a technique for disarming an
assailant. Doing this with a real gun would
be against good safety practices even with an
unloaded gun.
Here I am using the training barrel. Its
bright color allows everyone to know that it
is not a functional gun.
Again, this is NOT an acceptable thing to try
with a real barrel installed. You MUST use
either a training barrel or a plastic gun.
Never try this with a functioning gun even if
you *know for sure* is is unloaded. Tags : glock ccw ccp "glock 19" training barrel concealed carry |
