| Michael Moore: We Don't Need Any More Crap from Detroit |
 |
"I've wondered for years, actually, why the
chairmen of these companies don't just get in
a Honda or a Toyota and drive it around the
block. I think one drive around the block,
they'd figure out that 'geez, this isn't bad,
no wonder people buy these cars.' But their
arrogance has prevented them from doing that.
... What I think is ironic and, again,
hypocritical on the part of Congress is that
they're holding back. He (Senate Majority
Leader Harry Reid) can't get the votes to
bail out the auto companies because that's
going to help a lot of blue-collar people --
people that don't have a voice, who don't
have lobbyists fighting for them on Capitol
Hill -- but, boy, as soon as the banks or the
financial institutions or the people that
just gambled the money away, as soon as they
were wanting some dough, boy the trough was
just laid out for them. 'Line right up. Take
whatever you want. Sure, no problem!' You
know, everybody was there to vote for that,
but when it came time, now, to help the
people, the working class of this country,
it's like 'oh I don't know about that.'" --

As an homage to some of our favorite tricks,
heres an old one that has been around for
ages but some of you may not be aware of.
In this video we show you how to utilize
modern technology to always have your notes
in plain view.
We will do this by taking a common object
that no one will think twice about and
altering it to fit our needs.

| Any Given Sunday - Peace by Inches - Pacino |
 |
Right on, Nate!
My heart, in words. Given to me by my
brother, on a mix tape, back in '99.
The background music in this is "Peace", by
Paul Kelly, on "Soundings in Film".
The "six inches in front of your face",
that's where we Live. It's the choices you
make in that place that ultimately defines
you, and, over time, the course of your life,
until the end.
So many of us have grand plans for "Out
There" or "The Future", but never really
focus on what's right in front of us, right
now.
Now... What are you gonna do? Tags : "Pacino" "Any Given Sunday" "Football" "Life" "Locker Room Speech" american football Sports |

| MALCOLM X: BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY |
 |
http://malcolmxfiles.blogspot.com/
"Recently when I was blessed to make a
religious pilgrimage to the holy city of
Mecca where I met many people from all over
the world, plus spent many weeks in Africa
trying to broaden my own scope and get more
of an open mind to look at the problem as it
actually is, one of the things that I
realized, and I realized this even before
going over there, was that our African
brothers have gained their independence
faster than you and I here in America have.
They've also gained recognition and respect
as human beings much faster than you and I.
Just ten years ago on the African continent,
our people were colonized. They were
suffering all forms of colonization,
oppression, exploitation, degradation,
humiliation, discrimination, and every other
kind of -ation. And in a short time, they
have gained more independence, more
recognition, more respect as human beings
than you and I have. And you and I live in a
country which is supposed to be the citadel
of education, freedom, justice, democracy,
and all of those other pretty-sounding words.
So it was our intention to try and find out
what it was our African brothers were doing
to get results, so that you and I could study
what they had done and perhaps gain from that
study or benefit from their experiences."
Malcolm X makes it plain that he is opposed
to the philosophy of Martin Luther King.
