| Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 first glance at MWC |

Ericssons Xperia X1, commented by a staff
member. Nothing of what is shown here is
final or meant to be working like this in the
final version - the X1 is only previewed in
Barcelona! The device shall be released in
the second half of 2008 and runs Microsoft
Windows Mobile with a panel-flow-style thingy
that reminds us of Apple's coverflow
technique.

Today marked the launch of XPERIA and a new
era in mobile communications with the
announcement of the XPERIA X1, a stand-out,
arc slider phone from Sony Ericsson designed
to address the growing need for a premium,
converged mobile experience.
The XPERIATM X1 combines a 3-inch clear wide
VGA display and a full QWERTY keyboard within
a quality metal-finish body. With Windows
Mobile® inside, the XPERIA™ X1 lets you

favourite entertainment content to working
efficiently on-the-move. Access a world of

panel on the screen.

Sony Ericsson unveiled its first Windows
Mobile 6 Professional powered smartphone.
Featuring the new Xperia panel-based home
screen, the X1 has a unique arc form
slide-out QWERTY keyboard, WVGA (800x480
pixel) touchscreen display, and built-in GPS
receiver.
The Xperia X1 features quad-band GSM
(850/900/1800/1900MHz) and 4 bands of
HSDPA/HSUPA (850/1700/1900/2100MHz or
900/1700/1900/2100MHz) support, as well as
WiFi, for unbeatable connectivity. The
slender Xperia X1 measures 110mm x 53mm x
17mm (4.3" x 2.1" x .7") and weighs in at
145g (5.1oz). A 3.2 megapixel camera with
auto-focus and video capture is also on
board.
