I work with project teams and individual
engineers to help them plan SQA, change
control, and testing processes that allow
them to understand and control the risks of
product failure. Most of my experience is
with market-driven Silicon Valley software
companies like Apple Computer and Borland, so
the techniques I've gathered and developed
are designed for use under conditions of
compressed schedules, high rates of change,
component-based technology, and poor
specification. ABSTRACT
You're already an experienced tester. You
know how to design tests and report bugs. Now
what? Do you feel like an expert?
Unfortunately, if you want to become very

Dear friends. I, Rafael Correa, President of
the Republic of Ecuador, greet you. As you
already know, now is the time to integrate
Latin America in every aspect, including
technology and the use of information
technology.
This is the reason why the adoption of Free
Software is necessary on a public as well as
on a private level. Through its use we will
be able to assure autonomy for our states, we
will depend only on our own strength and not
on others, and we will become producers of
technology and no longer be simple comsumers.
We will own the source code and develop
products which, with an appropriate
channelling of our efforts, should become
significantly important for our region's
public and private businesses.
That is why we should all use Free Software.
The government of Ecuador has already
established it as a Goverment and State
policy. This is an important step that will
lead us to the integration of Latin America
and, why not say so, to its liberation.
Português
Queridos amigos.
privada, o software livre, Dessa maneira
garantiremos a soberania dos nossos Estados,
dependeremos de nossas próprias forças,
não de forças externas a região. Seremos
produtores de tecnologia, não simplesmente
consumidores. Seremos donos dos códigos
fontes, e poderemos desenvolver muitos
produtos que, com a articulação adequada de
nossos esforços, poderão ser de utilidade
para as empresas públicas e privadas da
região.
Por isso, vamos todos utilizar software
livre. O governo equatoriano já o
estabeleceu como polÃtica de Governo e de
Estado.
logiciels libre. Le gouvernement Equatorien
l'a deja etabli comme politique d'Etat. Ceci
Tags : Rafael Correa Ecuador Free Software |

Google Tech Talks
July, 25 2007
ABSTRACT
This talk begins with an overview of software
development at Adobe and a look at industry
trends towards systems built around object
oriented frameworks; why they "work", and why
they ultimately fail to deliver quality,
scalable, software. We'll look at a possible
alternative to this future, combining generic
programming with declarative programming to
build high quality, scalable systems.
