| Limited Mobility Guitar Playing II - Rickenbacker 360V64-12 |
 |
Techniques for playing with handicaps,
fretboard explained, tricks and tips learned
the hard way. Rickenbacker 12-string, Hamer,
and Gibson ES-335 used. This particular
Rickenbacker is a Rickenbacker 360-V64-12 (a
copy of the 1st prototype Rickenbacker 12
presented George Harrison by the Rickenbacker
Corporation). Although a beautiful
instrument, it is somewhat diifficult to play
due to very low frets and a narrow
fingerboard (George Harrison commented on
this as well) so I would not recommend it as
a first choice for LMGP. The Tom Petty
designed Rickenbacker model has a wider board
and is widely touted as vastly easier to play
-- I'd go with that as a first choice. That
said, this 1999 Rickenbacker is certainly eye
candy and can boom out some great sounding
tunes if you're careful on the frets.
