| Umpire tosses lots of Phillies out of the game |
 |
June 17th, 2007. Citizen's Bank Park in
Philadelphia. The Phillies, down 7-4 to the
Detroit Tigers, become frustrated and cannot
hold back their anger any longer. After
catcher Ruiz gets thrown out of the game for
arguing with the home plate umpire (not
shown), Phillies' manager Charlie Manuel
discusses the situation with the umpire, and
then gets thrown out himself. He continues
to argue, getting his money's worth, and then
while leaving the field, Phillies' base coach
Steve Smith (in the dugout) gets thrown out
by the first base umpire. He becomes livid
and has to be restrained by Manuel. Sorry I
didn't get the umpire throwing Smith out of
the game, two guys walked in front of me
which made me lose where I was. I was in
section 431 (WAY upstairs) with a 10x optical
zoom camera.
UPDATE: I've disabled comments because
they've pretty much run their course and I'm
getting tired of the Mets fans and Phillie
