| PKR leader: I can forgive, not forget |
 |
Anwar Ibrahim said he was willing to forgive
his enemies for his woes in the past decade
should he become prime minister, but he will
never forget.
"It's not easy to come out from prison, being
assaulted, being jailed, being smeared with
the most nasty sort of attacks, and then
suddenly say okay, 'malice towards none' -
quoting (Abraham) Lincoln - and move on," he
told Malaysiakini in an exclusive interview
yesterday.

| Three PKR lawmakers arrested, then released |

Three opposition MPs and three others were
arrested for gathering outside the King's
palace at around 10am this morning.
The three legislators nabbed were from PKR -
Sivarasa Rasiah (Subang), S Manikavasagam
(Kapar) and Zuraida Kamaruddin (Ampang).

16 Ogos 2008 - Pilihanraya kecil Parlimen
Permatang Pauh akan menyaksi pertandingan
tiga penjuru di antara calon BN, PKR dan
Angkatan Keadilan Insan Malaysia (AKIM).
Pengumuman tersebut dibuat oleh pegawai
pengurus pilihanraya, Roslan Yahya pada jam
11.45 pagi tadi.
Calon-calon tersebut ialah Datuk Seri Anwar
Ibrahim (PKR), Datuk Arif Shah Omar Shah (BN)
dan Hanafi Hamad dari AKIM.
Seorang lagi calon yang turut mengemukakan
borang pencalonan pagi tadi, Dr Mansor Othman

pentas PKR dalam pilihanraya kecil Permatang
Pauh.
Ramlang Porigi (foto, kiri) menjelaskan
beliau telah diarahkan hadir di majlis sumpah
pemuda itu pada 15 Ogos lalu, yang mendakwa
diliwat oleh Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, calon
PKR di kawasan parlimen itu.
Seperti penjelasannya kepada Malaysiakini
Khamis lalu, Ramlang yang juga seorang ahli
Umno di bahagian Bukit Mertajam bagaimanapun
tidak menyatakan lebih lanjut pihak yang
mengarahkannya berbuat demikian.
Imam itu juga meminta beliau tidak dikaitkan
dengan majlis sumpah Mohd Saiful (foto,
kanan) kerana hadir tanpa perancangan awal
dan hanya kebetulan berada di masjid untuk
urusan pernikahan.
